Tips for a healthier home 

Here are a few simple suggestions:

Change vacuum cleaner bags at least once a month.
Change air conditioner and heating system filters often (they should be white, not gray or black).  
When choosing new carpeting, select one with low volatile, organic compounds (VOC).
Paint used should also be low or no VOC products.  
Vacuum often to reduce dust mites and pet dander.
Have your carpets professionally cleaned twice a year.
Use cleaning products made from safe, natural, nontoxic ingredients.

Eradicate the dampness

Damp indoor environments are associated with such health problems as colds, flu, joint pain, allergies and more. Much of the dampness comes up from the basement where nearly half the air you breathe in your home originates. Our technicians measure humidity levels to determine if they are dangerously high. If they are, we recommend installing a correctly sized dehumidifier.

Eliminate the mold

We also check all surfaces (walls, floors, ceilings, etc.) for mold and sanitize as necessary. An anti- microbial agent is often applied to prevent future mold growth.

Dry up the water

Water damage can arise from a number of causes, such as broken pipes, blocked drains, malfunctioning appliances, and storms. Water often harbors unknown hazardous contaminants. Even clean water will promote mildew and mold growth. Appropriate treatment is imperative for the health of the inhabitants.
